Lily passed away when a reckless driver crashed into a other vehicle which then crashed into the daycare where Lily was. At the time, Lily was sitting at a table in the classroom awaiting her afternoon snack. 14 other people were injured but they all survived, Lily was the only person who lost their life from what happened.
Robert Alex Corchado, 26, fled the scene soon afterwards. The man has a long criminal history and was no stranger to the police. The man turned himself in to the police on April 10 2014. Robert Corchado was sentenced to 40 years in prison.
