On August 5 2013, the boys were dropped off at their friend's home as they were staying for a sleepover. The apartment they were in was located above a pet shop which their friend's father owned. When the father of the friend came in the living room the next day to wake the three boys up, he found Connor and Noah blue and unresponsive. Their cause of death was strangulation.
Further investigation showed that a 100 pound, 14 foot long python from the pet shop below had escaped from it's cage and slithered into a nearby ventilation pipe. The weight of the python caused the pipe the collapse and fall through the living room ceiling. It landed of the boys, and strangled them death. The python was later killed and the owner of the snake was found not guilty.
